Queen Victoria XX, Carolyn Bean Guilbeaux is one of the seven founding members of the Krewe of Victoria. She has served on the Krewe's Board of Directors since its inception, most recently as Dame Commander for the past two years. She also had great fun as Duchess in 1997 on the court of Queen Victoria V. Queen Carolyn retired four years ago after serving as church administrator of Asbury United Methodist Church for ten years. Prior to that, she was the general manager of the Holidome of Lafayette, which her family owned. She attended Southern Methodist University before graduating from USL in mathematics and education. She has traveled extensively to many parts of the world including St Petersburg, Russia and Antarctica in 2012.
Queen Carolyn is married to Russell James Guilbeaux, Prince Albert XVI. They have one son, James Bean Guilbeaux.
Prince Albert XX, James Merrill Poché, who has lived in Lafayette his entire life, proudly traces his ancestors to Poché Bridge, New Orleans, France and Belgium. He is the founder and CEO of the Southwest Group, which includes Poché Prouet Architects & Engineers, Southwest Contractors, Southwest Mechanical, and other business concerns. Prince Jim has a degree in mechanical engineering from USL, is a graduate of Leadership Lafayette IV, and has served as past president of Louisiana Consulting Engineers. He is a eucharistic minister and parishioner at St John's Cathedral and is active in downtown real estate development. His hobbies include golfing, hiking, and spending quality time with family & friends.
Prince Jim has been married to Linda DeRoussel Poché, Queen Victoria XIX, for 46 years. They have two children, Bryant Merrill Poché and Paula Marie Hornback, and four grandchildren.
